Dear Evan Hansen star Jordan Fisher married his longtime love, Ellie Woods, in a private, after-hours ceremony at Disney World. Fisher and Woods tied the knot in front of a small group of their close family and friends (all socially distanced and wearing masks of course!) on November 21. The pair exchanged vows in the courtyard behind Cinderella’s castle at the stroke of midnight. Seriously, how cute is that?!
After making it official, Fisher and Woods celebrated with their guests at an intimate reception. The evening ended with Woods and Fisher riding down Dinsey’s Main Street in a vintage car while Fisher’s own song, “Happily Ever After,” played.
We had to truncate everything, but even though it was small and sweet, it was very intimate and personal,” the Dancing With the Stars champ shared with People. “I had enough time to make eye contact with every guest that was there and got to soak in that moment with each individual person.”
Woods added, “It was much smaller than we originally planned, but it ended up exactly what it was supposed to be. It was so romantic, sweet and beautiful.” She also described how cool it was getting married in the public space after hours. “We didn’t see any of the set-up until it was actually happening, and I remember walking into the park being like, ‘This is unbelievable.’ They did a wonderful job.”
26-year-old Fisher described seeing Woods for the first time in her Eisen Stein wedding dress as “overwhelming in the best way.” Fisher and Woods got engaged in May 2019 but were together long before that. “We’re partners in life,” says Fisher. “Having somebody that knows you inside out and can lean on [is so special].”
Congratulations to the happy couple! We can’t wait to see Fisher back on Broadway as soon as Broadway is back!
