ICYMI, Jessica Vosk (Wicked) and Jennifer Simard (Mean Girls, Company) launched Killing it on Broadway this past week, a podcast effectively combining another modern cultural phenomenon with the Broadway world: true crime.
While it may seem like an odd combination on the surface, the connection Jenn, Jess, and guest Kristin Chenoweth make is pretty solid. True crime fans often feel – or are made to feel – like freaks for finding fascination in what others only see horror or tragedy, but as storytellers, it’s only natural to try to fill in the blanks where answers don’t exist.
Kristin joined the pair for their first episode to discuss the Oklahoma Girl Scout murders; a case that she revealed, for the first time, a very close connection to. A new celebrity – from Broadway and beyond – will join in every week to talk about a case from their home state and their true crime origin story.
New episodes air on Mondays, with James Monroe Iglehart joining today to discuss the Zodiac Killer, and bonus content – like after party karaoke videos and additional episodes – can be unlocked on Patreon!
