Easter is different this year: We didn’t have the famous Easter Parade filling the streets of New York City with big hats and even bigger personalities. We didn’t have community Easter egg hunts. We didn’t even have Easter church service. But as others far wiser than us have pointed out, some important things are not, in fact, cancelled — and music is one of them. Music is truly an art we can enjoy in our living rooms, on our own. Music sets a mood. It lifts our spirits. It reminds us why it’s absolute tragedy that Heathers: The Musical has not been on Broadway yet.
So whether you stocked your kitchen with Peeps or missed the holiday completely thanks to the fact that days mean nothing anymore because every day is the same (oops), enjoy Broadway Roulette’s Easter Sunday playlist for weeks to come and be #happyathome, for real (at least for an hour or so).
It features Broadway stars including Laura Benati (She Loves Me), Andrew Rannells (Book of Mormon), George Salazar (Godspell), Christian Borle (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Gavin Creel (Hello, Dolly!), and more.
