Stay at Home: Earth Day Playlist for the Broadway Fan

It may feel strange to celebrate Earth Day from the confines of your own shoebox-sized apartment (or, if you’re lucky, from a park while safely staying six feet away from anyone else), but it’s April 22 and social distancing remains. To help you make the most of this day that honors Mother Nature and all she does for us, we’ve put together a snappy Earth Day playlist packed with Broadway favorites.

From longtime favorites like The Lion King to award-winning revivals like Once on This Island to recent original works like Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (one of my personal faves), we’ve included a wide variety of songs to provide a soundtrack to your day and hopefully put a bounce in your step.

Like everyone in the Broadway community (and the world at large), we look forward to the day we can all gather together for picnics in Central Park, bottomless brunches at sidewalk cafes, and of course, in theaters on the Great White Way — but until then, we will enjoy the music of some of the most talented performers on the planet and know there are brighter days ahead!

While we wait for Broadway to return, keep in touch with Broadway Roulette via our InstagramTwitter, and reading our blog, Broadway Spin! Or book tickets now for up to six months in advance!
