Rachel Berry (aka Lea Michele) Is Pregnant!

Rachel Berry is going to be a mom! Glee alum Lea Michele and her husband, entrepreneur Zandy Reich, are expecting their first child together. The couple was first linked in 2017 and got engaged in 2018. They made it official with an intimate wedding ceremony in Northern California on March 9, 2019. “They’ve always wanted to be parents,” a source told People of the happy news.

Lea Michele started her career on Broadway at just eight years old when she played Young Cosette in Les Misérables, but her big break came in 2006, when she landed the lead role of Wendla Bergmann in Spring Awakening. She joined the cast of Ryan Murphy’s musical-comedy Glee in 2009, which gave he household-name status (in households that weren’t already full of Broadway fans!).

Along with finding love and starting a family, the 33-year-old actress has appeared on other TV series including Sons of Anarchy, The Mayor, and Scream Queens — which you can now stream on Hulu (and you absolutely should!). Michele also released solo albums in 2014, 2017, and most recently a Christmas album in 2019. She became a New York Times Bestselling author for her autobiography Brunette Ambition (if you read it, let us know what you think). In 2018, Lea Michele went on a concert tour in North America and Europe with former Glee co-star Darren Criss. ICYMI, he is now set to star alongside Sam Rockwell and Laurence Fishbourne in a buzzy revival of David Mamet’s American Buffalo — but the fate of that production is a bit up in the air as all of Broadway remains shuttered due to Covid-19.

No word yet on whether Lea Michele hopes her future son or daughter goes into entertainment, but our fingers at crossed that the triple-threat at least puts out a lullaby album in the near future!
